Welcome!

Beacon is an intentionally diverse and inclusive community, drawing members and friends from across the Lower Mainland—from New Westminster and the Tri-Cities to communities east of Vancouver. We are spiritually curious and socially conscious people, invested in shared values and eager to come together to live good lives and help make the world a better place. We welcome and celebrate you in all your human diversity, and invite you to explore this website to see what our community and Unitarian Universalism have to offer. To learn more about adult programming, please visit the “Programs” tab.

We have in-person services at Sapperton Hall in New Westminster (318 Keary Street) and an option to join by Zoom as well. All are welcome to join our gatherings! Please fill in the Beacon Connecting Form to receive more information. We look forward to connecting with you and getting to know you!

Why We Chose Beacon: Stories of Community and Belonging

They speak about the welcoming atmosphere, the importance of Unitarian Universalist principles like dignity, respect, and truth-seeking, and the ways Beacon has enriched their lives — from music and friendship to environmental action and belonging (approx. 15 minutes).
